This opportunity is for a student at any level interested in the study of Biblical culture, first century Judaism, and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. Study the Bible as it was given, set in the soil of the land of Israel and the Jewish people.

Discover a depth of information seldom taught in churches, synagogues, Bible schools or seminaries. Our purpose is to rediscover the authentic background of scripture with greater understanding while also obtaining academic qualifications. We invite you to join us.

6:30 –  8:50 pm

Mondays (starting Sept. 11th)

• 6:30 – 7:40 p.m.    The Historical Jewish Roots of Christianity (Foundational course) – An introduction to the historical interconnection between Judaism and Christianity. From Jewish sect to a Gentile religion? The Parting of the Ways? A complete survey purposed to challenge the student with serious considerations and implications applied for all Jews and Christians today.

• 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.    Biblical Feasts and Holy Days – An overview of the major feasts, festivals, and Holy Days as practiced in both ancient and modern Judaism.

• 7:50 – 8:50 p.m.  Paul, the Jewish Theologian – Presents the life, work and writings of the apostle Paul in the Jewish context of his claim to be a “Pharisee of Pharisees”. Includes a brief look at famous geographical sites associated with Paul’s journey.

• 7:50 – 8:50 p.m.  The Lord of Israel & Archaeology of the Bible and Israel – (2 Combined Courses, at the price of one!) A study of the geology, geography, history and biblical significance of the terrain of the Holy Land. We also discuss the people and regional events connected with important discoveries throughout the Holy Land as well as the techniques and science involved in determining Biblical sites.

Tuesdays:
6:30 – 8:45 pm

Tuesdays (starting Sept. 12th)

• 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.    Canon of Scripture – An historical examination of how the present-day Bible was compiled, and the people and events connected with this centuries-long process.  What is scripture and how do we know?  How is it authority for faith and practice?

• 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.     Josephus –  A study of the life and times of this eminent Jewish historian and his contribution to our understanding of First-Century historical backgrounds, the settings for understanding the Biblical renderings of that period, and the historical Jewish settings preparing for the New Testament.

• 7:40 – 8:45 p.m.     Basic Talmud – An overview of the fundamental teachings of what is known as the Oral Law and commentary concerning such topics as the spirit world, free will, repentance, slander, prophecy and numerous others

• 7:40 – 8:45 p.m.  Role of Women in the Bible – 8 weeks. A Biblical, historical, and cultural examination of the place of women in the synagogue and early Christian church, as well as the impact of noted church leaders invalidating the vital role of women in official church ministry positions.

Bachelor’s Degree Program
The bachelor’s degree prepares the student for ministry with the most up-to-date information concerning the modern and biblical land of Israel, biblical culture, the Middle East and the foundations of the Jewish roots of Christianity.
